Journals

Hi there! These journals were created to encourage you in your walk with the Lord. My prayer is that whatever stage you are at in your faith, you would approach the Scripture with a soft heart and curious mind, open to whatever the Lord has in store for you!

Kids Ages 5-10

In this journal, we are going to use the 5-finger prayer
to learn how to pray and then turn it into a daily habit.
This is how it goes!

First: We praise God!
Second: We thank God!
Third: We ask for forgiveness!
Fourth: We pray for someone else!
Fifth: We pray about something on our hearts!

Jesus loves to hear from you, and I can’t wait for you to
take this journey of learning to pray. At the end of each
day, we will also be reading a couple of verses from
either the New Testament or the Psalms to get comfortable opening our Bibles!

Kids Ages 11-18

Aimed for Believers around middle school age and up, this would make a great gift of encouragement for anyone in your life looking to grow their relationship with the Lord!

Jesus loves to hear from you, and I can’t wait for you to
take this journey of making prayer a daily habit. At the end
of each day, we will also be reading a couple of verses
from the New Testament to get comfortable opening our
Bibles!

Each day will follow the same rhythm that is outlined
below:

  • Praise the Lord!
  • Practice gratitude!
  • Ask for forgiveness of sin (repentance).
  • Pray for someone God has placed on your heart.
  • Pray for yourself, what is on your heart, or the things going on in your own life.

Take your time, remember that the Lord wants to spend
time with you.

After you have finished praying, move on to opening your
Bible and reading God’s Word. I have left a couple of lines
after the Scripture reference for any thoughts or
questions that came to mind about what you have read.

I pray that this journal is a blessing to you and that you
would approach each day with a soft heart and curious
mind, ready to spend time with the Lord!

Highschool – Adult

I’m so glad that you’re here! My heart in making this
journal was simple: to encourage you to open your Bible and
thoughtfully seek the Lord. In this version of Quiet Moments
With God, we will be diving into either the Gospels and Acts or the Epistles, depending on which version you have.

The concept is easy: each day, we will read a chapter and
reflect with four or five simple questions, depending on which version you are working through. The questions remain the same each day. They are open-ended, thought-provoking, and aimed at helping you think a little deeper about what you have read.

Before each new book of the Bible, I have included a
“context” page to fill out. I encourage you to take the time to
do this because understanding the context of each book
truly is important.

After each book is a page for final thoughts and
reflections, or space to use in whatever way is most helpful.

My prayer for you is that as you work through this book and
dive into God’s Word, that you would have a soft heart and
curious mind, eager to be led by the Holy Spirit into
right understanding and deepen your relationship with the Lord.
